Polished Caymanite Semi Precious Stones From Cayman Brac, An Island In The Caribbean Sea. Total Stone Weight Is 67 Grams. Stone Dimensions Are Minimum 20 mm to 38 mm In Length. Minimum 10 mm In Width to 17 mm. Minimum 3 mm to 10 mm height. These Semi Precious Stones Are Only Found On Cayman Brac, Not To Be Confused With The Stones Found On Grand Cayman. This Is A Dolomite rock. Testing Between 6 And 7 On The Mohs Scale It Is Nearly As Hard As Quartz. Caymanite Has Layers Of Color In Gentle Earth Tones, Created By The Different Mineral Deposits In Each Strata. Manganese Dominates The Black Layers, With Iron Producing Shades Of Red, And Nickel, Titanium And Copper Influencing Other Tones. Once Worked And Polished The Stones Are Truly Unique And Can Be Made Into A Wide Variety Of Jewelry.
